Ok so I have a lot of questions, new to keeping fish here.?

First off when adding new water you always put the conditioner in the bucket and let is sit for 2-5 minutes. Also snails come up for air. I have 2 apple snails they do the same. Its natural. Your fish and snails will be fine. Hopefully your tank is at least 10 US gallons.
