When min wage goes up does my 9 dollas an hr go up?

So the cost of livin is going up and in april i hear they r raising min wage. i get 50 sents above min wage but in order to keep up with my rent goin up and everyhing i need my wage to go up. i heard they have to raise ur wage is min wage goes up even if your already makin 25 cents above. is this true? please say yes!
