Regarding windows installation.?

Hi, I bought a toshiba laptop some one year back. It had a windows XP home edition. I was provided with a recovery cd along with it. Now yesterday my windows crashed and I was so stupid that rather than running my own recovery cd I took my laptop to a local mechanic who formatted everything and installed windows XP professional from his own CDs. He didn't even touch my CD. He made 3 partition of the hard drive(orignal laptop came with a single partition). I am telling you all this so that you may get an idea of what he did and you can answer my question. Now my question is that if I want to make my computer like it came orignal ( by running and installing everything my cd has), can I do that (means can my computer will be set with the windows and other programmes like orignally it was)or the recovery CDs which come with the orignal laptops dont have much material to fully reinstate the computer to like "JUST BOUGHT NEW" configuration from a scratch.Please help me. Please reply urgently
