Have any of the ladies ever had a hysterectomy and if so what were the effects on your life afterwards.?

While I have not gone to the physician yet, I have all the signs and symptoms of stage 3 uterine prolapse, I'm 36 married, with two boys, so future children are not cause for concern, mostly effects of hysterectomy and other treatment other than some ring that I feel would be a nuisance...
