Scott and White VS Gastric Byp surgery.?

I am trying to help a friend of mine out, I was hopeing that maybe someone could shed some light on this for me. My friend Danny is a 26 year old female, 5 foot 8 inches tall weighing 280ish. She has high blood preasure, sleeping issues and horrible bats of depresion. Her doctor recomended that she go through with ?gastric byp surgery?...... They sent her to a meeting that pepped her up for her new life and had her smiling for the first time in 4 years. She sees a doctor at Scott and White, She has Scott and White insurance, this pow wow was held at Scott and White. But they wont cover the operation? Scott and White has a no weight loss surgery exception in their policy.... Can anyone help me help her.
