Can you still go thru menopause even after having a hysterectomy?

Every body is different. My mom had a hysterectomy and never went threw menopause. So I really don't know for sure. And every body that I have talked to that has had a hysterectomy has never went threw menopause. Well I should say they never had the symptoms of menopause.
